What Goes Into Our Puppies
We invest a great deal of care, time, energy, and love into pups. Our goal is to breed puppies who are healthy, have stable temperaments and are more resilient (see stress exercises and neurological stimulation info). These are living beings with a heart and I believe, a soul. We want them going to families who will continue the healthy way of life that has been started for them here.
All of our breeding adults have a full panel of genetic tests completed prior to breeding. Visit our Health and Longevity page for a list of these tests and their meaning. Our puppies are raised using the Puppy Culture and Avidog protocols. Visit the Puppy Culture page to learn about the benefits of these exercises. Their diet consists of human quality food, vitamins, fish oil and other natural supplements.
Breeding adults' hips and elbows are OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) certified. Our adults have yearly visits to an ophthalmologist as well as our puppies prior to going home to their families. All parents are tested clear of the cataract gene which is responsible for 70% of NON AGE related cataracts.
All Puppies are placed with a health guarantee relating to hips, elbows and eyes. I require buyers to follow our spay/neutering recommendations. Visit the Health and Longevity page and click on the Spay and Neuter link to better understand the long term health risks and benefits with spay/neutering. Environment plays a huge role in the development of healthy bones, ligaments and tendons. We require our supplement recommendations be followed for at least 2 years for your guarantee to be valid. These are the formative years. Your puppy will benefit from this great start for the rest of their lives.
Puppies have been de-wormed, have had age appropriate immunizations, and eyes examined by an ophthalmologist prior to going home.
Puppies cannot be sold sight unseen. You must come visit the puppies and pick them up in person. We DO NOT ship our puppies. You can fly to pick your puppy up but they must be flown with you in cabin.
Puppies are both ASCA and AKC registered. Puppies must be transferred into new owners names.
